We meet together most Wednesday nights from September through May from
6:30 to 8:00 at the Dillsburg Church. On Wednesdays we sing together led
by our own Thrive Worship Band, play group games, listen to and interact
with our adult leaders as they bring us incredibly exciting thoughts from
God's Word, eat snacks, drink coffee and cappuccino from our own machines,
play some four square, share and pray together --and just generally have
a great time Thriving together! We alternate between nights when all ages
are together and nights where we separate to focus our content specifically
for Middle School and High School students.
We take advantage of opportunities for ministries
in Worship Team, Drama Team, and Quizzing among others. We enjoy activities
like Middle School Hangout nights, High School Guy/Girl nights, gCORE
(for girls) and mCORE (for guys) activities, the occasional all-nighter,
and other events like Famine and our annual Fall Retreat. We really enjoy
the opportunity to work and play together...we believe that fun time is
the laboratory where we practice what we're learning -- it is the opportunity
to show who God is in us in how we treat each other.
One more thing: we do missions. We believe in giving to and serving others.
We take short and longer term missions trips across the state or across
the ocean. We also support others who give their lives to serving God in
other places...especially the Matt and
Julie Walsh family (who used to be part of our leadership team) now
serving in Burkina Faso, Africa. We have established a GO fund to fulfill
our dream for a group of us to go visit them in the not to distant future.
